Claudis Whitehead Lynch, 80, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at home with her family.    

Mrs. Lynch was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia, the daughter of the late Odell Beecher Whitehead and Elton Ray Whitehead.  She graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1972.  Mrs. Lynch was a member of Florence Baptist Temple, a devoted Christian, wife, mother and Nana.  She loved children and that was the reason she got her degree in Elementary Education.          

Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Lynch; son, Chris Lynch; daughter, Stacey Beebe (Neil); three grandchildren, Colton Beebe, Addisyn Beebe and Keira Lynch; two brothers, Ray Whitehead (Fran) and Randy Whitehead (Donna).    

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.  

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA.     

Burial will follow at Greenwich Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505
